Kay H. Malphrus


Kay is a South Carolina native and attended Beaufort Technical College earning a
paralegal certificate in General Litigation in 1987 and a paralegal certificate in Real
Estate from TCL in 1989.  She has been with the Jenkins-Esquivel Law Firm since 1996.
Her areas of expertise include: Civil Litigation, Family Law, Probate Law, Criminal Law,
Workers’ Compensation,  Corporate Law and Real Estate including loan closings and title
abstracting.  Kay also has experience in taking and transcribing testimony from preliminar
y hearings in criminal cases, probate hearings, and Common Pleas Non-Jury hearings. 
She works at the Hilton Head office and is the office manager.




Theresa L. Costlow


Ms. Costlow is a native of Washington State, moved to the south in 1989, and settled in
South Carolina in 1992. Ms. Costlow obtained an Associate of Paralegal Studies in 2008
through the Technical College of the Lowcountry. Ms. Costlow began working at the Law
Offices of Jenkins & Esquivel in 2002, specializing in personal injury cases. Ms. Costlow
currently works under the direction of William G. Jenkins, Jr., Esquire in the Hilton Head

Judith Griffeth


Griffeth has is originally from Sonora Mexico. Ms. Griffeth has been a legal secretary with
the Firm since May 2003 assisting with Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation and
Criminal cases. She is fluent in Spanish, enjoys all outdoor activities.
